About
The Company
Sand Shack is an environmentally friendly brand of apparel and accessories founded in Cape Cod by Brian Linton during the summer of 2006. All Sand Shack products reflect the laid back lifestyle of coastal living. 5% of all proceeds from the sale of Sand Shack products are donated to ocean conservation efforts. Additionally, Sand Shack organizes and hosts various ocean conservation events multiple times a year.
The Team
Brian Linton
Rainmaker (President and Founder)

Brian started his entrepreneurial career at an early age. As the 5th grade yoyo champion he realized he could leverage his success and sell imported Japanese yoyos for up to $50. During the beanie baby craze he traveled to China at the age of 13 to buy hundreds of beanie babies and sell them on the school bus for margins over 1000%. And, as an overweight child Brian loved candy, and therefore, he made a tidy profit selling candy at school. It is said that Brian could sell ice to Eskimos, but he doesn’t like that term because it is cliché. Instead, Brian likes to make products people want and runs his business with passion and integrity. Also, Brian was the winner of Temple University’s annual business plan competition in 2008 and was named a top 20 collegiate entrepreneur by StartupNation.

Joanna Tai
Jill of All Trades (Manager of Operations)

You name it, she does it. With a passion for organizing and planning, Joanna runs the day to day operations at Sand Shack. From hiring our gorgeous staff to picking the color on our stationary if you have a random, unclassified matter – she’s your girl. With a past at Macy’s Merchandising Group, Joanna brings a corporate style to a non-corporate world. She loves the fashion scene and anything to do with Rachel Zoe. Most recently, Joanna adopted a puppy and thinks Sand Shack should branch into pet apparel…thoughts?
Patricia Crystal
Product Pusher (Director of Sales)

Our resident Product Pusher gained the travel bug while growing up abroad in Singapore and Hong Kong. In her position as Director of Sales, Patricia is thrilled to be able to travel to different places to seek out potential and current customers. If unable to leave the office, she can always vicariously visit them by calling them on the phone. Life goal? Traveling to all seven continents – and she’s taking Sand Shack’s products with her.

Phil Suh
“MRK215” (Marketing and Web Design)

Phil has created some of Sand Shack’s best promotional videos and flyers. With an eye for graphic design, his layouts are what make Sand Shack so pretty. By night you’ll find Phil break-dancing, DJing – or both. He has a dedicated love for sushi and chai tea. We also enjoy his ability to be amused by just about anything.
Alina Reznik
Social Butterfly (Marketing, Advertising, and Event Planning)

The Alina recipe: throw in a European spirit, a Russian heart, a spoon full of smiles and laughs, a splash of outgoing and bubbly personality, and oodles of innovative ideas—mix well! She is always ready to try or learn something new, weather it’s a new business field or an entrepreneurial endeavor. A few favorites: salsa and bachata dancing, Natella, cruising, AX, Greek food, creative people, fashion, cologne, maltipoos, most circular objects, Ferrero Roche, Rome, Italy, yoga and world music.
