Sand Shack Presents “Keep It Blue”

Sure, it’s good to Be Green.  But do you Keep It Blue? Join us on Saturday, July 11th as Sand Shack hosts an all-day ocean conservation event dedicated to educating individuals about how they can help the environment and how they can keep it blue.

Sand Shack and The Wetlands Institute Present:
Keep It Blue Touch Tank for Kids
9am – 12pm

Horseshoe crabs, spider crabs, sea stars, sea urchins and whelks all at your fingertips!  Bring your kids out for a day of fun, interactive learning. Our Touch Pool event allows children to study, respect, and gain appreciation for the world’s aquatic resources through a unique hands-on educational experience.  Education staff members will be on sight to guide and teach children about the animals in the tank as well as explain what you can do to help our marine life.  There will be giveaways, prizes, and much much more!

Keep It Blue Eco-Fair

1pm – 5pm
Organic teas, bags made from recyclable goods, organic baby clothing, all-natural dog treats…this is just some of the merchandise that will be on display and for sale at our Keep It Blue Eco-Fair.  Local companies and businesses will be presenting their unique, ecologically aware products as well as educate visitors on how they can help the environment. There will be a live DJ, food, giveaways, prizes and more!
